AMB™
System Requirements
AMB™
is a completely "Real Time" "Transaction Based" accounting
system. As such, the performance of the workstations and the size of your
hard disk will be important. AMB™
is a 32 bit "Client/Server" application using Oracle's "Standard Edition" database. The database
can be stored on a number of platforms but we expect most clients will
be using Windows® 2003 or Windows® 2008 Server operating systems.
In most cases, it is advisable to utilize a separate server for AMB™.
Requirements listed are for on-site, non-virtural servers only.
Please call for information regarding remote or virtual servers.
AMB™ System Requirements |
File
Server |
The "Client/Server" architecture
of the system demands a capable file server. We recommend the
following:
Processor - Xeon® dual- or quad-core processor, 2GHz or better.
Ram - 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended (32 bit)
        - 8 GB recommended for 64 bit servers
|
Hard
Disk |
Capacity: 73GB minimum,
147GB recommended.
More space will be required if images are to be stored on the same
drive.
We recommend using Ultra Wide SCSI II or SCSI III drives. A RAID configuration is preferred but not required.
|
Web Server |
If purchasing the Web-Based Branch Reporting module, a web server will be required. The requirements for the server depend on the expected load it will experience. We recommend a server meeting the following guidelines, depending on load:
|
Light Load |
Medium Load |
Heavy Load |
Processor |
Pentium 4 class dual core, 1.8 GHz or better |
Xeon dual core, 2.0 GHz or better |
Xeon quad core, 2.2 GHz or better |
RAM |
2GB DDR2 |
4GB DDR2 |
8GB DDR2 |
Hard Drive |
120GB SATA |
250GB SAS |
500GB SAS |

Windows® Server 2003 (note: Windows® Server 2003 Web Edition
is not sufficient) or Windows® Server 2008 |
Software |
IIS with Active Server Pages enabled |
.Net Framework version 4.0 |
Oracle client installed and configured |
|
Server Operating
System |
We
recommend the Windows® 2008R2 Server Operating systems from
Microsoft®.
File Structure - NTFS
Communication Protocol - TCPIP |
"Client"/Workstation |
We
recommend a Pentium® Core i3 better with at least 4 GB of RAM.
Most new
machines are being configured at least 300GB hard disk space.
We recommend that at least 50GB of local hard disk space be available
on each client workstation. |
Workstation
Operating System |
We
support Windows® XP Professional, Windows® Vista, and Windows® 7. Earlier operating systems will not be supported.
|
